 Central Falls, - With a heart full of love and a soul imbued with joy, we commemorate the life of Alexandra Medeiros Resendes,38, of Central Falls, a beacon of light and laughter to all who knew her. Born in the lush landscapes of Sao Miguel Azores, Portugal on May 13, 1985, Alexandra's journey through life was one marked by her unwavering spirit and infectious smile. Her earthly chapter concluded on December 14, 2023, at Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Alexandra, affectionately known to her friends and family, was the beloved wife of Michael F. Resendes, her devoted partner for over 19 years. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, creating a sanctuary for their children and all who entered their home. She was a proud and loving mother to her four children, Antonio F., Kaylee M., Leila M., and Julia M. Resendes, all of Central Falls, RI. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering dedication to her family were the cornerstones of their home.

The daughter of the late Antonio Moniz De Medeiros and the late Lenea Irisalva (Rocha) De Medeiros, Alexandra inherited a legacy of strength and compassion. She was a cherished sister to Rui Junior Botelho Medeiros of the Azores, Antonio Chalana De Medeiros of Bermuda, Marco Pacheco Medeiros of Bermuda, Silvia Rocha Medeiros Bandarra of Azores, and Dalila Rocha Medeiros of Azores. Her siblings, along with many adoring nieces and nephews, will forever hold Alexandra in their hearts as a guiding light and source of joy.

Alexandra embraced her role as a stay-at-home mom and homemaker with passion and pride. She created a warm and welcoming environment for her family, filling their home with love, laughter, and the aroma of delicious meals. Her dedication to her family was unwavering, and she cherished the simple pleasures of life, reveling in the joy of her children's milestones and the comfort of family gatherings.

Her interests and hobbies were as vibrant and diverse as her personality. Alexandra had a talent for helping people and making them laugh, often writing her thoughts and experiences in her journals, where her wit and wisdom could be captured for eternity. She was the life of the party, lighting up every room she entered with her radiant presence. Alexandra's love for four-wheeling and travel spoke of her adventurous spirit, while her passion for dancing reflected the rhythm of her soul.

As we bid farewell to Alexandra Medeiros Resendes, we remember not just the dates that book end her time on earth, but the countless moments she filled with happiness, kindness, and love. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 8:00am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Francis Xavier Church, 81 North Carpenter Street, East Providence.
