Riverside - Anna (Medeiros) Oliveira,101, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2024, at the Hattie Ide Chaffee Home in East Providence. Born on April 21, 1923, in Seekonk, Massachusetts, Anna's life was a tapestry of devotion to her family, her work, and her faith.
Anna was the cherished wife of the late Sebastian Oliveira, and the loving daughter of the late Elias and Maria Jose (Coelho) Medeiros. Her warmth and generosity of spirit were a comfort to all who knew her. She is survived by her brother, Joseph Medeiros of East Providence, who will miss her dearly. Anna's legacy of love continues through her three grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who were the light of her life.
Before retirement, Anna dedicated many years of service as an assembler at the Armburst Chain Company. Her meticulous work and steadfast reliability were hallmarks of her career. Colleagues knew her as a woman whose gentle demeanor and faith-filled nature made her a joy to be around.
Anna's life was marked by an unwavering faith which she lived out every day. Those who knew her best would describe Anna as loving and kind—a true embodiment of what it means to be faith-filled. Her gentle presence was a constant source of comfort and inspiration to her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her throughout her 101 years of life.
In addition to her immediate family, Anna was a stepmother to the late Edmund and Sebastian Oliveira. Her nurturing spirit and compassion knew no bounds, and she embraced her role with an open heart and open arms. The values she instilled in her family are enduring, and her influence will be felt for generations.
Anna's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved her, but her spirit will forever be woven into the fabric of their lives. Her story—a century of love, kindness, and faith—will be told and retold, a testament to a life well-lived.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Anna will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Sebastian, in a private ceremony. Her family takes solace in knowing that she lived fully, loved deeply, and leaves behind a legacy of kindness that will continue to shine brightly.

Her funeral will be Thursday September 5,2024 at 8:30am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 346 Waterman Avenue, East Providence.
Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence.
