Anthony Bruno, Jr.

Anthony Bruno, Jr., age 69, of Rumford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence, RI, on November 1, 1954, he was a cherished son of the late Anthony Bruno, Sr., and Anna (Perry) Bruno.

Anthony spent his formative years in the Rumford section of East Providence, graduating from East Providence High School in 1972. He dedicated 35 years of his life to serving the State of Rhode Island before his well-earned retirement. Anthony's career led him to the state medical center, where he worked as an attendant, providing compassionate care to patients dealing with mental illnesses.

A loving and caring soul, Anthony touched the lives of many with his kindness and dedication to others. His legacy of service and compassion will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Anthony is survived by his sister, Maryann Lagarto, and her husband Albert "Al" Lagarto of Seekonk. He was a beloved uncle to Stephanie Rosata and Michael Lagarto of Seekonk, and the great-uncle of Dylan, Chloe, Kaitlyn, and Ethan.

A private service will be held to honor Anthony's memory, and he will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Riverside. Arrangements are under the thoughtful care and direction of the REBELLO Funeral Home, East Providence.
