Bonita Miranda Obituary

East Providence - Bonita L Miranda,75, known affectionately as Bonnie by her loved ones, passed away peacefully at her home in East Providence, Rhode Island, on Friday, February 7, 2025. Aleah entered this world on March 6, 1949, in Providence, Rhode Island, as the cherished daughter of the late Alexander and Alicia (Goncalves) Miranda.

Aleah's life was marked by her unwavering kindness, her delightful sense of humor, and her profound faith, which guided her through every chapter of her journey. Her role as a mother to Nicholas J. Brown of San Francisco, CA, and Danielle E. Andrade of Warren, RI, was one she held most dear. She was the proud grandmother of Austin J. Reed, Julian M. Reis, Noah Caleb larin, Alexia Destiny Brown, Angelo Brown Jr., and Niah Ortiz, whose lives she touched with love and joy. Aleah was also a loving sister to Alexander S. Miranda of California and was predeceased by her siblings Antone Miranda and Alicia "Tobey" Miranda.

Aleah dedicated many years of her professional life as an Administrative Clerk to the California Department of Agriculture. Her commitment to her work was evident in the diligence and care she brought to her responsibilities each day. After serving her community in California, she returned to her roots in Rhode Island, where she spent over 15 years in East Providence, enriching the lives of those around her.

She was a United States Army National Guard Veteran.

A woman of many interests, Aleah found solace and delight in the pages of books, often sharing the stories and lessons she gleaned with those around her. A devoted member of the Zion Gospel Church, she actively participated in church life. Her love for the Lord was evident in her every action and interaction, and she inspired many with her faith-filled approach to life.

Those who knew Aleah will remember her as a beacon of light in their lives. Her kind spirit and unwavering faith left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her laughter was infectious, and her ability to find humor in life's challenges was one of the many gifts she shared freely.

Aleah's legacy will continue to live on through her family, her friends, and the countless lives she touched with her generous spirit. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate a life well-lived—a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep-rooted faith that brought comfort and guidance to all who knew her.

Aleah A. (Miranda) Yamana will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those she leaves behind. As we say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on, guiding and watching over us as we hold her close in our thoughts and memories.

Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted. A service will be announced for a future date. Arrangements by the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, East Providence, RI.
