Brenda Sears Obituary

Cranston - Brenda Lee (Adams) Sears, aged 61, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Hope Hospice in Providence, RI, surrounded by the love and warmth of her family. Born on February 24, 1963, in Providence, Brenda was a lifelong resident of Rhode Island, cherished by all who knew her for her loving, generous, and selfless spirit.

Brenda's journey began in the vibrant communities of Providence, where she was nurtured and embraced the values of family and kindness that would define her life. She shared over three decades of unwavering love and companionship with her devoted husband, Arthur J. Sears. Together, they built a home filled with laughter and affection in Cranston, after moving from North Providence, where Brenda's presence became a cornerstone of the neighborhood.

Brenda's role as a homemaker was where she truly excelled, creating a sanctuary for her beloved children, Aubrey Parmentier of West Warwick, and the late Paul Matthew Adams. Her dedication to her family was unparalleled, and she poured her heart into every meal prepared, every scraped knee soothed, and every bedtime story told. Her love knew no bounds, a legacy carried on through her grandchildren, Delphina and Rene Parmentier, who were the apple of her eye.

As a mother, Brenda's tenderness and wisdom were the guiding lights of her children's lives, and as a grandmother, she reveled in the joy and curiosity of her grandchildren. Each moment spent with them was treasured, filled with games, stories, and the kind of laughter that echoes through a lifetime.

Brenda's warmth extended beyond her immediate family to her many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She was a confidant, a cheerleader, and a beacon of support to her extended family, embodying the essence of what it means to love unconditionally.

Her home in Cranston, where she resided for over 31 years, was a testament to her nurturing soul. Neighbors became friends, and friends became family under Brenda's roof, where everyone was welcome, and no one left without feeling a little more loved than when they arrived.

While Brenda's professional life was dedicated to her family, her impact on the community was felt by all. Her involvement in various associations over the years showcased her commitment to service and her desire to make a difference. She had an uncanny ability to see the needs of others and to act without hesitation, her generosity leaving a lasting imprint on the fabric of her community.

Brenda's departure leaves behind a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to know her. She has left this world a better place, her legacy of love and selflessness forever etched in the hearts of her family and friends.

Brenda Lee (Adams) Sears lived a life marked by the simple, yet profound, acts of kindness that define the best of humanity. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary woman, we take solace in the knowledge that her memory will be cherished and her example followed for generations to come. Her journey on earth has ended, but the love she shared remains eternal, a beacon of hope and comfort to all who mourn her passing.
