Brunhilde "Hilde" Cavallaro Obituary

Brunhilde M. Cavallaro, known affectionately as Hilde by those who loved her, passed away peacefully on Saturday , December 27, 2025, at Roger Williams Hospital. Born on March 24, 1936, in Germany, Hilde was a beacon of love and creativity throughout her 89 years.

Hilde's early years in Germany set the stage for a life characterized by resilience and kindness. Her journey led her to the heart of her late husband, Raymond Cavallaro, with whom she built a life filled with joy and shared purpose. Together, they raised a family that included their sons, Richard Cavallaro of Seekonk, Michael Cavallaro of Seekonk, Ronald Cavallaro of Florida, and their daughter, Monica Zottola of Riverside. Hilde's role as a grandmother to Richard Cavallaro, Jr., and Christine Cavallaro was a source of immense pride and happiness. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Professionally, Hilde dedicated over 15 years of service as an accountant with Silvia Accounting Services. Her meticulous nature and unwavering integrity made her a respected figure in her field. Hilde's commitment to excellence in her work was paralleled by her devotion to her faith community. As a long-time parishioner of Our Lady of Loreto Church, she was deeply involved in church activities, contributing her time and talents to various church functions and community outreach programs.

Hilde's interests outside of work and church were a reflection of her loving and kind spirit. An avid gardener, she found peace and solace among the flowers and plants she tended with such care. Hilde's creative flair was also evident in her knitting and sewing, hobbies that not only brought her joy but also warmed the hearts and homes of those who received her handmade treasures.

Those who knew Hilde will remember her as a loving mother, a devoted wife, and a creative soul whose kindness knew no bounds. Her legacy is one of love, dedication, and the gentle touch of her hands, whether they were balancing ledgers, planting seeds, or crafting a warm sweater. Hilde's life was a tapestry of the roles she played so beautifully: a nurturing mother, a committed parishioner, a skilled professional, and a friend to all.

As we bid farewell to Hilde, we do so with hearts full of gratitude for the time we had with her. Her memory will continue to inspire us to live with the same compassion and grace that she embodied every day. Hilde's departure from this world leaves behind a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit will forever remain a guiding light in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
