Carlos "Caluca" Barbosa

Carlos “Caluca” Barbosa, 59, of Rehoboth, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife, Ema Barbosa, daughter Alexandra Barbosa, and son Dylan Barbosa, on August 25, 2023 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. He was a devoted husband, father, sibling, uncle, and friend. 

Born in Praia, Cabo Verde to Edmundo Rodrigues Barbosa and Maria Salette Pinto on June 28, 1964, he was 1 of 14 children. 

Caluca loved being surrounded by his family, sharing his love of cooking with others, traveling, and was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams include the Lakers and Benfica. 

His funeral will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 9:30 AM from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 10:30 AM in Saint Francis Xavier Church, 81 North Carpenter Street, East Providence.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.  Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
