Carolyn R (Duarte) Pennoyer

East Providence - Carolyn R. (Duarte) Pennoyer, 82, passed away on Sunday February 1, 2026, at her daughter's home, surrounded by family.   She was the daughter of the late, Joseph and Olympia (Teixeira) Duarte.

She was a Paralegal for the Pellegrino Law Firm for over 20 years.

She was the heart of her family—kind, warm, and endlessly loving, always welcoming everyone with open arms. Caring for her children and family was always her first priority, and her love showed in the way she gave so freely of herself. She found joy in the simple, meaningful moments: playing card games, competitive bowling, watching baseball, traveling on cruises, meaningful trips to Georgia, relaxing by the pool, and most of all, spending time surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She leaves behind her beloved children, James Pennoyer and his wife Diane, Michael Pennoyer, and her daughter Robin Rogers and her husband Ted.

She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Jessica Freeman and her husband Marshall, James Pennoyer, Kaitlynn Gonzalez and her husband Donovan, Olivia Pennoyer, and her grandson Theodore Rogers and his wife Miesha.

She also leaves behind seven cherished great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and filled her life with love and laughter.

Her legacy is one of strength, love, and selfless devotion, a life poured fully into her family. She will be deeply missed and forever carried in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know and love her.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday, February 6,2026 at 11:00am in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail , East Providence.  
Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Thursday from 5:00pm -7:00pm in the funeral home.
