Charlene Ann Levasseur

Pawtucket - Charlene A. Levasseur, 61 of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at home. She was very much loved by her entire family.

She was born in Providence, the daughter of the late Robert M. King and Eleanor T. Lafazia.

Charlene spent her retirement years enjoying her family and was the one to call when something needed fixing. She was always ready to lend a helping hand and those who knew her best knew that meant it came with a bit of sass – giving her the nickname “Sassy.”

She lived her last years in Pawtucket but was a lifelong resident of Cranston. Charlene was active in her community and loved to give back to others.  She enjoyed travelling, she loved collecting antiques and her favorite collectible was her coin collection. Charlene loved her cat Mama but her greatest love was her son and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

She was the mother of Calvin E. Hamlet and mother-in-law of Antonia Hamlet of North Smithfield. Charlene was also the sister of Robin Levasseur of Johnston, Tonya King of Cranston, and Tabatha King of Providence. She is survived by many nephews and nieces.

Charlene was the loving and devoted grandmother of Elijah, Amorah, Isabella, Xavier and Anthony.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 1:00 pm directly following the calling hours in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. www.rebellofuneralhome.com
