Christopher Manfredi Obituary

Swansea - Christopher M. Manfredi,68, known affectionately as Chris to his family and friends, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2023, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA. Born on October 11, 1955, in Providence, RI, Chris's journey through life was marked by his loving nature, kindness, and remarkable handiness.

Chris was the cherished husband of Lisa (Fisher) Manfredi, with whom he shared over 34 years of unwavering love and partnership. He was the proud son of Barbara J. (Vanasse) Bacon of Warwick and the late Michael Manfredi, Sr. His legacy continues through his children, Christopher M. Manfredi, Jr. of Tiverton, and Madison Manfredi of Swansea, who will carry on his spirit of warmth and generosity.

In his family circle, Chris was a beloved brother to Joseph Manfredi of Cranston, Sherry Gervais of Providence, Sharon Marsh of Warwick, Jean Marie Gouveia of Warwick, Barbara J. Botelho of Warwick, and Joann DaRosa of North Carolina. He was a fun and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, and he will be dearly missed by his loyal dog, GiGi. Chris was predeceased by his brothers, Michael J. Manfredi, Jr., and Anthony Manfredi, whose memories he held close to his heart.

Chris's educational journey saw him earn an associate degree from the Community College of Rhode Island, a testament to his commitment to lifelong learning and self-improvement. His sense of duty and patriotism shone brightly when he joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve, where he served for several years before receiving an Honorable Discharge.

Professionally, Chris was known for his dedication and work ethic. For the last six years, he was a dependable courier for FEDEX. Prior to that, he navigated the computer and IT fields with expertise and precision, contributing significantly to various organizations throughout his career.

A man of diverse interests, Chris found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for building things, a hobby that showcased his ingenuity and skill. Fishing was a pastime that allowed him to embrace the tranquility of nature, while his love for cooking brought warmth and delicious flavors to the family table. Chris's adventurous spirit was evident in his enthusiasm for motorcycles, and he cherished moments spent watching the birds, finding peace in their beauty and freedom.

Chris's life was a reflection of the love he had for his family and the kindness he extended to everyone he met. His handy nature meant he was always there to lend a helping hand, and his absence will leave a void in the lives of all who knew him.
