Felipe Rivera

Providence – Felipe Rivera, 87, of Providence, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital North Providence.

He was the former husband of the late Patricia A. (Pine) Rivera.

Phil was born in Coamo, Puerto Rico the son of the late Raymond and Ramona (Aponte) Rivera.

He was an Attendant for the State of Rhode Island Medical Center for over 19 years, before retiring and he previously was a Machine Operator for Texas Instruments for over 15 years.

Felipe has lived in Providence most of his life. He had enjoyed going to the Lillian Feinstein Senior Center and meeting his friends and getting involved with all their activities at the center. He enjoyed playing the lottery waiting patiently to hit the “big one”.

Mr. Rivera is survived by his children Rhonda R. Rivera, John P. Rivera, and Linda A. Rivera all of Providence.

He also leaves behind numerous siblings, nieces and nephews and cousins.

His funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 28, 2023, at 10:30am in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME,901 Broadway, East Providence. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Wednesday June 28, 2023, from 8:30am -10:30am at the funeral home.
