Francisco Hector Garcia

East Providence - Francisco H. Garcia, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Waterview Villa in East Providence. He was born on June 4, 1934, in Guatemala City, Guatemala, and lived a life marked by devotion, dignity, and quiet strength.

Francisco was the beloved husband of Maria (Alonzo) Garcia and the son of the late Isais and Tomasr (Tomin) Garcia. He was a devoted father to Jorge Garcia and his wife, Ligia, of East Providence. He was also a cherished grandfather to Vera Perez, Jorge Garcia, Jr., and Ximena Garcia, and a proud great-grandfather of nine. His family was the center of his life, and he took great joy in the love and accomplishments of those around him.

For more than 30 years, Francisco worked as an economist for Guatemala City, Guatemala. Through his long career, he demonstrated intelligence, discipline, and dedication. He was respected for his steady work ethic and his thoughtful approach to life. His professional years reflected the same integrity and care that he brought to his family and friendships.

Francisco was a faithful member of Iglesia De Jesucristo Palabra Miel of East Providence. His faith was an important part of who he was, and he found comfort and purpose in reading the Bible and living according to its teachings. He was known as a loving, kind, and faith-filled man whose presence brought peace and encouragement to those who knew him. His devotion to God remained a guiding light throughout his life.

In his free time, Francisco enjoyed spending time with his family, which was one of his greatest joys. He treasured simple moments together and valued the closeness and warmth of family life. He was also a devoted soccer fan and especially enjoyed following the Grand Madrid team. These interests brought him happiness and connected him to the things he loved most.

Francisco will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his unwavering faith, and his deep love for his family. He lived a life of purpose and grace, and he leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and strength. Those who knew him will remember his warm heart, his steady presence, and the love he shared so freely.

His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his wife, son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and all who were blessed to know him. Francisco’s life was a testament to faith, family, and love, and he will be dearly missed.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 14,2026 at 10:00am in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI, burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
