PALM CITY- Hermano T. Gaipo, a resident of Palm City, FL previously of East Providence, RI passed away peacefully at Cleveland Clinic Martin North, on Monday, February 19, 2024.
He was born on August 16, 1936, in Horta, Faial Azores, a son of the late Hermano and Rosa (Silva) Gaipo.
Hermano was a business owner for various successful businesses and known as a machinist in his earlier years. Known to everyone as Herman, he was ready with a quick joke or an old memory that he could share with everyone. He enjoyed spending his time with family.
He is survived by his wife Maria of 65 years, his sons Jose Gaipo and his wife Bonnie Simmons of Palm City, FL and David Gaipo of Lake Worth, Florida; three grandchildren Stefanie and husband Philip Desrosiers, Krystal and husband Justin Butler. and Herman and his wife Madison Gaipo, seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his two sons Steven and Hermano Gaipo. Hermano also leaves one brother Jose Gaipo of East Providence. He was the brother of the late Manuel Gaipo, Idalina Maciel, Agueda Maciel, Maria Cardoso, Lidia Peixinho.
A private funeral will be held for the family.
