Hilda Alexandre Obituary

Rehoboth - Hilda (Almeida) Alexandre,70, known affectionately as Hilda to her friends and family, passed away peacefully at her home in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, on the 12th of October 2025, at the age of 70. Born on June 3, 1955, in Fall River, Massachusetts, to the late Manuel and Hilda (Cordeiro) Almeida, Hilda grew up in a loving family that would shape her into the remarkable woman she would become.

Hilda was the beloved wife of the late Jose T. Alexandre and a devoted mother to her two children, Vincent Alexandre and his wife Eryn of Rehoboth, and Janessa Alexandre and Russell Evers of Port Charlotte, Florida. Her love and guidance were the cornerstones of her family. She was also a cherished sister to Manuel "Manny" Almeida of Bristol and the late Thomas and Joseph Almeida. Hilda was a proud grandmother to Theodore Alexandre and Ivy Evers, who brought her immense joy and happiness. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

For over four decades, Hilda served as a medical secretary at University Orthopedics, where her dedication and work ethic were unmatched. Her colleagues respected her for her professionalism and caring nature, and she formed lasting friendships that endured beyond her retirement. Hilda's commitment to her profession was paralleled by her faith; she was a long-standing parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, where her presence was a constant source of comfort and community.

After moving to Rehoboth in 1993 from East Providence, Hilda quickly became a beloved member of her new community. Her interests included a passion for TV crime shows, which she watched with an analytical eye and often discussed with friends and family. The discussions following the twists and turns of each episode were as much a part of the experience as the shows themselves.

Hilda was a woman who exemplified love, thoughtfulness, and selflessness. Her actions were always for the benefit of others, and she gave her time and energy willingly to anyone in need. Her loving nature extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of her nieces, nephews, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

As we remember Hilda, we celebrate a life lived with generosity and kindness. Her legacy is one of warmth, compassion, and steadfast love—a legacy that will be carried on through the lives of those she touched. Hilda's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have been a part of her life.

Hilda (Almeida) Alexandre's journey was one of joy, service, and unwavering faith. Her story is not one of sorrow, but of a life beautifully lived and a rest well earned. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a guiding light in the lives of her loved ones.

Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
