Riverside - Jeannette Pacheco Saraiva, known affectionately as Jeannette to all, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, at Hope Hospice in Providence, RI, at the age of 52. Born on November 27, 1972, in Providence, RI, she was the cherished daughter of Zenaide (Pacheco) and Jose Silva of Riverside, and the beloved sister of Richard Saraiva, also of Riverside.
Jeannette's early life in Providence laid a strong foundation for her future endeavors. She was a proud graduate of Katharine Gibbs School, where she earned an associate's degree in criminal justice, that would lead her to a successful and fulfilling career. Her professional journey was marked by over 16 years of dedicated service as a Loss Prevention Officer for Saks Fifth Avenue Stores in Naples, Florida. Before that, she showcased her talents in the same role at Nordstrom, where she was equally respected and admired for her work ethic and commitment.
Those who knew Jeannette best will remember her as the epitome of kindness, a friendly presence who brought warmth and light to any room she entered. Her spirited nature was contagious, and she had the remarkable ability to uplift those around her, even on their gloomiest days.
Jeannette's love for life extended to her personal interests. A self-described homebody, she found joy and solace in the simple pleasures of life. Her garden was a testament to her patience and nurturing spirit, each bloom reflecting the care she invested in her plants. Traveling was another passion of Jeannette's, allowing her to explore and embrace the beauty of the world beyond her own backyard.
Despite her achievements and hobbies, Jeannette's greatest role was that of a loving daughter and sister. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and the bonds she shared with them were unbreakable. Her presence was a source of comfort and stability, and her absence will be deeply felt by those who had the privilege of sharing in her journey.
As we bid farewell to Jeannette Pacheco Saraiva, we do so with heavy hearts but also with profound gratitude for the time we were blessed to have her in our lives. Her memory will be cherished and preserved by all who were touched by her generous spirit, her unwavering kindness, and her boundless friendship. Jeannette's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the enduring power of a life well-lived. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us in the days to come.
