Jennie A. (Andreozzi) Costa

Jennie A. Costa, 95, a resident of East Providence for over forty years, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Briarcliffe Manor in Johnston. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Costa, who passed away on September 8, 2021.

Born in Providence, RI on December 22, 1928, Jennie was the loving daughter of the late Antonio Andreozzi, Sr. and Antonetta (Quatroupolo) Andreozzi.

She grew up in Barrington, RI, and was educated in Barrington schools. Jennie was a well-known and talented dressmaker for many years, working both independently and at Priscilla Sports Wear in Bristol. She enjoyed arts and crafts and was an avid gardener, always sharing her freshly grown vegetables with friends and neighbors.

Jennie was a longtime communicant of Saint Francis Xavier Church in East Providence.

She is survived by her daughter, Paula Remington, and her husband, John, of East Providence; and her son, Michael Nero, and his wife, Gloria, of Tucson, AZ. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Jason Remington and his wife Tracy; and Krystal Remington. She also leaves her great-grandchildren: Adrianna Correia, Sophia Remington, Scarlet Remington, and Julian Remington. Jennie was the sister of the late Frank "Chickie" Andreozzi, James "Jimmy" Andreozzi, Antonio "Junior" Andreozzi, Jr., Joseph Andreozzi, and Louis Andreozzi.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in her honor by Reverend Jorge Rocha on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 10 AM at Saint Francis Xavier Church, 81 North Carpenter Street, East Providence. Interment will follow at Maria del Campo Cemetery, Upland Way, Barrington, where Jennie will be laid to rest with her late husband, Joe. Visitation has respectfully been omitted, and arrangements have been entrusted to the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, East Providence, RI.
