Juvenal Silveira Obituary

Juvenal Tavares Silveira, affectionately known as Juvenal to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 18, 2025, at RI Hospital in Providence. Born on August 28, 1956, in the picturesque town of Ponta Delgada, Azores, Juvenal was a man whose life was defined by devotion to his family, his work, and his faith.

A loving husband to Ana (Lopes) Silveira, Juvenal was a cherished son of the late Serafine and Guilhermina Silveira. His role as a father to David and Joseph Silveira was one he embraced with every ounce of his being, and the joy of being a grandfather to Emily Johnson was a source of immense pride and happiness. Juvenal was also a supportive brother to Fr. Edward Silveira, Ezaura Cabral of East Providence, and he fondly remembered his late brother Mario Silveira.

For over three decades, Juvenal was a familiar and friendly face at Dunkin Donuts, where he perfected his craft as a baker and finisher. His dedication and skill in creating sweet treats were matched by his hard work as a Machine Operator for Metals Recycling in Providence. Juvenal's work ethic and his ability to connect with colleagues and customers alike left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Outside of his professional life, Juvenal was an active and committed parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. His faith was a cornerstone of his existence, guiding him through life's challenges and joys with grace and strength. The words that best describe Juvenal are loving, kind, and faith-filled. His heart and home were always open to those in need, and his generosity knew no bounds.

Juvenal's interests and passions extended beyond his work and church activities. His love for his Azorean heritage was evident in the way he celebrated life's special moments, always infused with the vibrant culture and traditions of his birthplace. Family gatherings, often centered around a table filled with homemade delicacies, were made memorable by his infectious laughter and storytelling.

As we bid farewell to Juvenal, we do so with a sense of gratitude for the time we were privileged to share with him. His legacy is one of unwavering love, humble service, and a deep-seated faith that inspired everyone around him. Juvenal Tavares Silveira's memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Juvenal Tavares Silveira has left an indelible mark on this world, and though he may have departed from this earthly realm, the light of his spirit will continue to shine in the lives of his beloved family and friends. Rest in peace, Juvenal. Your journey was one of purpose, your presence a gift, and your memory a treasure beyond measure.
