Lisa J Pappas, 53, of Warwick, RI passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28th,2025 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Thomas J Pappas Jr and the late Catherine L Pappas (Bonalewicz). Lisa will be sadly missed by her sister Bethany Donnelly, her Brother in Law, Edward Donnelly, and her most cherished niece and nephew, Emma Donnelly and Joseph Donnelly of North Kingstown. She will also be dearly missed by her grandmother, Josephine Bonalewicz, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless number of friends.
Lisa loved working at Rhode Island Hospital as a secretary for many years. She was a vocal advocate for organ donation having volunteered for many years with Donate Life.
Anyone who knew Lisa would describe her as a warrior. She was brave, always keeping a positive attitude in the face of life challenges. Her bubbly personality was infectious. She loved to entertain and had many close friends who she cared for deeply. She never missed an opportunity to spend time with her family and friends. For every birthday or holiday, she was sure to make a heartfelt homemade card for those she loved. She will be remembered by her friends and family for her kindness, strength, and genuine love for the world around her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 9:30am in St. Martha Church, 2595 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence.
Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Friday March 7, 2025, from 4:00pm-7:00pm at REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence, RI.
