Lorraine Erenkrantz Obituary

Warwick -Lorraine (Benevides) Erenkrantz,88, known to all as Lorraine, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026, at The Residence at Five Corners in Easton, Massachusetts. She was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on September 30, 1937, and lived a long and meaningful life marked by devotion to family, friendship, and community.

Lorraine was the beloved wife of the late Robert L. Erenkrantz, with whom she shared more than 44 years of marriage before his passing. Their life together was built on love, companionship, and mutual respect, and the years they shared were a source of comfort and happiness to all who knew them. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Travers) Benevides and the sister of the late Mary Ann Schroder. Lorraine is survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom will remember her with deep affection and gratitude.

A lifelong resident of Warwick for more than 54 years, Lorraine became a familiar and cherished presence in her community. She was a former parishioner of St. Timothy Church, where her faith and steady spirit were evident to those around her. Lorraine carried herself with quiet strength and grace, and she touched the lives of many through her kindness and warm nature. Her presence brought comfort to family and friends alike, and she was admired for the genuine care she showed to others.

Lorraine devoted over 41 years of service to Narragansett Electric, where she worked in the Billing Department. Her long career reflected her strong work ethic, reliability, and sense of responsibility. She took pride in her work and was respected by those who knew her professionally. Her dedication over so many years stands as a testament to her character and perseverance.

Outside of her work, Lorraine found joy in the simple and meaningful pleasures of life. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. These interests brought her happiness and created many treasured memories over the years. Whether sharing a conversation, enjoying a favorite song, or setting out on a new journey, Lorraine embraced life with warmth and appreciation.

Lorraine will be remembered most for the loving, kind, and generous person she was. She had a gentle way about her that made others feel welcome and cared for. Her compassion and thoughtfulness were evident in the way she lived each day, and her memory will remain a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and enduring family ties that will continue to be cherished for generations.

Her family and friends will hold close the many memories they shared with her, and they will remember her with gratitude for the love she gave so freely. Though she is no longer with them, Lorraine’s spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her, and her life will be honored through the kindness she shared and the example she set.

Her funeral services are private. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
