Born on February 11, 1935, in São Miguel, Azores, Maria was a beacon of selflessness and care throughout her 89 years.

Maria, the beloved wife of the late John Cabral, was the cherished daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Patricio) deFontes. Russiyah, Brooklyn, Ryder, Marquis, and Ne'ishoa, and her nine great-grandchildren. She found immense joy in watching her family grow and flourish, always providing a warm and welcoming presence in their lives.

Maria's role as a homemaker was a testament to her dedication to her family. She created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and an abundance of love. Her hands were rarely still, as she cultivated beauty both in her garden and within the walls of her home. Her passion for her plants was evident to all who visited, and the care she took in nurturing them was a reflection of the care she gave to her family.

Her interests extended beyond her home, as she embraced her role as a matriarch with enthusiasm. Maria's love for her family and grandchildren knew no bounds, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her unwavering support and guidance were the cornerstones upon which her family built their lives.

Maria was a woman of great faith, and it was this faith that guided her through life's challenges and triumphs. Her selfless nature was a source of inspiration to all who knew her, and her loving spirit will be remembered by all whose lives she touched.
