Marie Gloria (Francis) Armentrout

Marie Gloria (Francis) Armentrout, 82,of Canton, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025. She was born on December 19, 1942, in Providence, Rhode Island to John G. Sr.  and Katherine (Tammaro) Francis.  Marie grew up in East Providence, Rhode Island for the majority of her life.

She was a graduate of East Providence High School, Class of 1960

She was a hairdresser and a homemaker. She is the former communicant of St. Martha’s church in East Providence and a third-generation member of the Rosary and Altar Society.  Marie was preceded in death by her parents and her former husband Luke Armentrout Jr. She often enjoyed spending time with her family and her son’s dog Comanche, and cat, Mercury.

She is survived by her son Luke Armentrout III whom she later lived with in life, her daughter, Lori Degnan, her brother John Francis Jr., former Sister-in-law Elaine (DiGianfilippo) Francis, her godson Charles Camara, grandsons John and Luke Degnan, and niece Jennifer Jubinville.  

 Relatives and friends are invited to attend a prayer service in the chapel of Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag trail, East Providence, Rhode Island on Thursday March 20, 2025, at 11:00am.
