Mark Rotondo Obituary

Mark Wayne Rotondo, known to many simply as Mark, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Watertown Rehabilitation and Nursing Care in Watertown, Massachusetts. He was born on February 5, 1961, in Providence, Rhode Island, and lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a spirit that left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He was the son of the late Vincent J. and Shirley E. Rotondo. Mark was a devoted father to Mark Rotondo and Markayla Rotondo, both of North Smithfield, and he took great pride in his children. Family meant everything to him, and his presence will be deeply missed by those who loved him most. He is survived by many nieces and nephews, including his nephew and Godson, David Rotondo, Jr., who held a special place in his heart.

Mark was the brother of David Rotondo, Vincent Rotondo, Carl Ikerman, and Ethel “Chris” Saccoccio. He was also the brother of the late Peter Rotondo, John Rotondo, Karyl Rotondo, and Shirley Rotondo. The bonds he shared with his siblings were an important part of his life, and his memory will continue to live on through the family who cherished him.

For more than 30 years, Mark was a self-employed auto reconditioner, a trade in which he took great pride. His strong work ethic, dedication, and skill earned him the respect of those who knew him professionally. He lived in Seekonk for over 20 years, having previously resided in Warwick. Over the years, he built a life rooted in perseverance, independence, and quiet determination.

Mark had many interests that brought him joy throughout his life. He enjoyed body building. Mark was awarded First Place in Mr. New England Body Building Competition, an accomplishment that reflected his discipline and commitment. He also enjoyed motocross, motorcycles, and fishing. Whether he was pursuing an active hobby or spending time in the company of others, Mark brought his own energy and personality to every moment. He was known for his great sense of humor, which brightened the lives of family and friends and made him easy to love.

Those who knew Mark will remember him as loving, funny, and intelligent. He had a way of making others feel at ease, and his humor and warmth were among his most memorable qualities. He will be remembered not only for the things he did, but for the way he made people feel. His life was one of dedication to family, pride in his work, and enjoyment of the simple pleasures that meant the most to him.

Mark’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of many, but his memory will remain a source of comfort and reflection. He will be remembered with love by his children, siblings, extended family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he is no longer present in body, the influence of his life and the love he shared will endure in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
