Paul Malouin Obituary

Paul Normand Raymond Malouin,53, known affectionately as Paul to his family and friends, passed away peacefully at Hope Hospice in Providence, RI, on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Born on June 16, 1971, in Providence, RI, Paul was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. His gentle spirit and friendly nature touched the lives of all who knew him.

Paul was the cherished son of Virginia (Morgan) Malouin and the late Normand Malouin. He grew up in a family filled with love and laughter, alongside his siblings Normand Malouin of North Port, Florida, Dianna Leiter of Riverside, and Paulette Milner of Pawtucket. His role as an uncle was one, he embraced with joy and affection, endearing himself to his nieces and nephews: Roseanna Milner, Eric Milner, Manuel Pimentel, Stephen Milner, Anna Pimentel, Normand Malouin, Christopher Malouin, Brian Malouin, Tabitha Willis, and Ashley Nicole Leiter. He held a special place in his heart for the late Katrina Malouin.

For over six years, Paul dedicated himself to his work at Guill Engineering, where he was a valued member of the Assembly and Delivery department. His colleagues knew him as a reliable and conscientious worker, always ready to lend a hand or share a friendly word. Paul's strong work ethic and amiable personality made him a respected and well-liked figure in the workplace.

Paul had called East Providence home for over 15 years, having moved there from Westerly. His presence in the community was characterized by his handy skills and readiness to help neighbors and friends with various projects. His ability to fix and create was only matched by his willingness to share his knowledge and time with others.

An avid fisherman, Paul found solace and joy in the serenity of nature. His love for fishing was more than a hobby; it was a passion that allowed him to connect with the environment and find peace in the simple pleasures of life. Those who accompanied him on fishing trips will remember his patience, his excitement at a good catch, and the warmth of his companionship.

Those who knew Paul would describe him as not just friendly, handy, and gentle, but as someone who radiated positivity and genuine care for others. His smile could light up a room, and his laughter was infectious. Paul's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the impact one individual can have on the lives of many.

Paul's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him, but his memory will live on through the countless lives he enriched. His family and friends will carry forward the lessons of compassion and generosity that he exemplified so effortlessly.

As we say our final farewells to Paul Normand Raymond Malouin, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey marked by love, friendship, and a quiet strength that inspired us all. May he rest in peace, knowing that his legacy will continue to shine in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
