November 15, 1937 – May 27, 2025
With deep love and respect, we announce the passing of Robert Ralph Davis, a man whose life was marked by service, strength, and steadfast character. Robert passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, at the age of 87.
Born on November 15, 1937, Robert lived a life grounded in honor, shaped by discipline, and guided by an unwavering moral compass. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, he served his country with distinction and dignity. His years in the military instilled in him a deep sense of responsibility, resilience, and commitment to others— qualities that remained with him throughout his life.
Robert was not only a man of duty, but also one with a deep passion for life’s simple joys. He found peace and purpose in his involvement with the Catholic Church, athletics, and being outdoors. He was a graduate of La Salle University where he distinguished himself competing in track and field. His history coaching track and field is one of the many ways in which he impacted young people throughout his lifetime. He thrived outdoors enjoying fishing, hunting, gardening, and cycling. Staying fit and connected to the world around him was more than a routine— it was a reflection of his enduring spirit. He brought determination and gratitude to every aspect of his life.
He was the devoted husband of Marie Antoinette Davis, his loving partner and companion. Robert was previously married to Cora Bowie Davis, the mother of his three beloved children: Mark Davis, Elisa Davis, and Danyon Davis. He also shared meaningful years with Carolyn Brown-Davis. As a stepfather, he welcomed Donna Richardson, Albert Martins, and Jeffrey Martins into his life with warmth and generosity.
Robert’s presence was steady and strong—a quiet force who led by example. He was a man you could count on, someone who stood firm in his values and expressed love not through grand gestures, but through constant, caring acts.
He is survived by his wife Marie; his three children; his three stepchildren; his brother Donald Davis and his sister Beatrice Davis-Williams; and his grandchildren Cora Mangual, Mars Davis, Cassia Davis, Gian Mangual, and Payton Mevs.
He is also lovingly remembered by a wide circle of family and friends who cherished him dearly. His impact will live on in the lessons he taught, the love he gave, and the life he lived with courage and grace.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Robert’s name to a veterans’ organization of your choosing.
Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted. A memorial service will be held at a future date.
