Rochelle S. (Brody) Patalano, 80, a longtime resident of East Providence, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Ret. Officer Anthony P. Patalano, EPPD.
Born in Providence on July 8, 1944, she was the cherished daughter of the late Albert and Miriam (Shuster) Brody. Rochelle grew up in Providence and was a graduate of Hope High School. She began her career in the insurance industry before dedicating herself to raising a family, creating a loving home alongside her husband, Anthony. Later in life, she worked for many years as a cashier at Stop & Shop, where her warm smile and kind nature brightened the days of customers and colleagues alike.
Rochelle was a communicant of Saint Brendan's Church and Our Lady of Loreto Church in East Providence. She found joy in simple pleasures—reading, crocheting, knitting, and taking long car rides. Above all, her happiest moments were those spent in the company of her beloved family.
Rochelle is survived by her sons, Frank Patalano and his wife Nancy of Riverside, Robert Patalano and his wife Lisa of Orlando, FL, and Anthony Patalano Jr. and his wife Aimee of Ludlow, MA. She was the proud and loving grandmother of Kathryn, Frank Jr., Rebecca, Ethan, Ashley, Alexa, AJ, Austin, and Alivia. She is also fondly remembered by dear friends, caregivers, and extended family, including Jeff Nussbaum, Diana Twohig, and Laura Whitcomb.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Leonard Brody, Linda Brody, and Melvin Brody.
Family and friends are warmly invited to pay their respects on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence.
