Rosa C. (Amaral) Perreira

PAWTUCKET - Rosa Carla Perreira, 58, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Steven P. Perreira, to whom she was wed on July 8, 1989.

Born in Maputo, Mozambique, on March 27, 1966, she was the loving daughter of the late Alfred Amaral and Maria Frances (Pacheco) Amaral. Rosa emigrated with her family from Mozambique to the United States in 1976 and spent the majority of her formative years in East Providence. She was a 1984 graduate of East Providence High School.

She was a dedicated employee of Rhode Island Hospital for forty years, where she built countless friendships and was admired for her hard work and kindness. She was a proud member of Teamsters Local 251.

A woman of deep Catholic faith, Rosa was a longtime communicant of Saint Francis Xavier Church in East Providence. She had a love for movies, crocheting, and reading. Her artistic talents shone through in her painting and drawing. Above all, she was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and had an open heart for everyone. She was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.

In addition to her beloved husband of 35 years, Steve, she is survived by her devoted daughter, Candace Perreira-Jorge. She was the dear sister of the late Irene Borges.

Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend, will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, beginning with a time for visitation from 9:30 to 11:00 AM in the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME, 901 Broadway, East Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in her honor at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 346 Waterman Avenue, East Providence. Interment will be private.
