Rose M. (Fidalgo) Sinapi, a treasured soul known for her loving, kind, and thoughtful nature, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the age of 82. Rose, a long-time resident of East Providence, Rhode Island, was surrounded by the warmth of her family at Lincolnwood Nursing Home in North Providence at the time of her passing.
Born on July 26, 1942, in Providence, Rhode Island, Rose was the daughter of the late John and Philomena( Pislowski) Fidalgo. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was cherished by her family, including her son Ronald Lopes and his wife Meghanne of Foster, RI, and her daughter Lisa Amaral and her husband Jose of East Providence. Rose's love and guidance were the cornerstone of her family. She was a loving sister to George Fidalgo and his wife Amanda of Warwick, Arlene Boyd of East Providence, and was predeceased by her sister Frances Brown. Her legacy continues through her three adoring nieces, her four grandchildren, and her five great-grandchildren. The family will hold dear the memory of her late grandson, Richard Catalano, and her late sister Frances Brown.
For many years, Rose's warmth and friendly demeanor brightened the days of patrons at the Arch Restaurant in Providence, where she worked as a waitress. Her caring nature and radiant smile made her a beloved figure among both co-workers and customers. After more than a decade of dedicated service, Rose left a lasting impression on the Providence community she served with such joy and dedication.
Rose's life was one of active involvement and steadfast faith. A former parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Church, she lived her faith through her actions, embodying the virtues of compassion and charity that are the hallmarks of a life well-lived.
Beyond her work and spiritual commitments, Rose took pleasure in the simple joys of life. Her presence was a source of comfort and happiness to those around her, and her influence extended far beyond the confines of her immediate family. Rose's kindness touched the lives of many, and her thoughtful gestures often brought light to the darkest of days.
In every role she held—whether as a mother, sister, or friend—Rose exemplified a spirit of giving and grace. Her absence will be deeply felt, but her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her to live with the same generosity and love that she so effortlessly displayed.
