Sally Ann Fisher, a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the age of 67, in the comfort of Morgan Health Center in Johnston. Born on August 19, 1956, in Providence, Rhode Island, Sally was a beacon of love and joy to all who knew her. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Marilyn (Rose) Fisher.
Sally's life was one marked by her unwavering dedication to her family. She was the proud and loving mother of David Sheldon, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Riverside, Marilyn Sheldon of Cranston, and April Almeida and her husband Robert of East Providence. Sally's legacy as a sister was equally profound, leaving behind fond memories with her siblings, Scott Fisher, Michael Fisher, and Kelly Fisher. She was predeceased by her siblings Paul Fisher and Patricia Cochran, but the bonds of family love endure beyond loss. Sally's role as a grandmother was one, she cherished deeply, and she will be forever adored by her grandchildren Cassie, Julia, David, Angel, Glenn, Ashley, and Robert John, and her great-grandchildren Elijah and Eve Marie. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews
For many years, Sally's warm and welcoming presence graced various restaurants, including the beloved former Asquino's Restaurant of East Providence, where she served as a waitress. Her colleagues and customers alike will remember her for her loving kindness, her quick wit, and the laughter she brought into their days. She was a faith filled woman, who was also creative and spirited. She was an East Providence resident for most of her life.
Beyond her professional life, Sally was a woman of many interests and talents. Her passion for arts and crafts was evident in the beautiful creations she shared with her loved ones and the world. Sally's green thumb brought life to a vibrant array of plants and flowers, her nurturing spirit mirrored in the thriving gardens she tended. As a proud member of the baby boomer generation, she carried the values and experiences of her era with grace and humor.
Above all, Sally was known as the best grandmother anyone could ask for. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and she showered them with the same love and attention she gave to her plants and crafts.
